The North West area has a number of grammar and independent schools using the 11+ examination for Year 7 selection. The examination will consist of all or some of the following:

Verbal Reasoning / Non Verbal Reasoning
Maths and English [either a comprehension or a Creative Writing assessment]

Dependent on the North West school of your choice you will find they use the following exam formats: –

CEM Durham [a computer based assessment] / GL Assessment [NFER] / An examination paper set by the school itself / A combination of GL Assessment and papers set by the school.
